Seasonal Décor for the Occult Practitioner
Summer is upon us and as we move into the summer equinox, occult practitioners prepare for seasonal events and want their home to be safe and happy for everyone in it. Seasonal décor for the occult can be a myriad of items from the all peaceful Chakra banner to candles blessed for housewarming, protection, harmony and love. Summer herbs are a great addition to any occult home and can be a great decorating idea.
Multipurpose décor
Many items you purchase at your local occult shop or online have a purpose; usually in some form of divination, celebration or protection. Stones, shells, money-bark powder and basil are things that are used in the summer festivals such as Litha. “…dance with the fairies and be childlike!” Perhaps a statue of Freya, the Norse goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, gold, seiðr, war, and death, on your coffee table, right next to the rune stones will complete the scene.
Be open to new ideas
As Shakespeare said, “There are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” This is a mantra for all occultists. Reach for the stars when decorating for the season. Pull out the sage and revel in the summer amid dream catchers and knobs, bells and witch balls. Let your imagination run and your summer celebrations will bring you luck and happiness all season. And remember, “When you stop chasing your dreams, your dreams start chasing you.”
