It may not be right to tear down the system of belief that someone else has but I'll try my best to be fair. The term witch doctor is antiquated and sends a racial message that is by far inacurate from the beliefs and practices of tribal society. Many people believe that if they don't understand something then they're afraid of it. If this person is afraid of what they don't understand they may see it as evil or in the above case, the devil in Christian belief. It's sad to know that there are people out there who are exploiting peoples' hope for a cure to their ailments. It's also sad that there are many of us that feel called to help and heal any way we can and hope that we do our best to honor the universal source of creation the spirit of life that has charged us to be vessels of this energy to affect positve change. In honoring this energy that, in my belief, people around the world identify as their deity or deities, we know that we are instruments of a much more divine hand. Instead of being afraid of something we may not understand it may do us all some good to pray for the wisdom to understand why things happen or even exist at all in "God's Creation." While we react in fear or hate we may not hear that ringing in our ears that is the spirit of connection with deity that grants us the wisdom that we have asked for. Always follow your heart. That will usually lead you on your path to your deity.
